1. You keep thinking about a traumatic event

If you have witnessed the death of someone or people you care about, or you are just fresh from a very nasty breakup, chances are, you need to get professional help if you feel stress. Traumatic events leave a string of thoughts in your head, thoughts that are difficult to forget unless you work hard at getting rid of them.

It’s okay to remember the hurt or pain once in a while but when it gets beyond occasional thoughts about your traumatic events, and you start thinking excessively about them to the point you’re losing yourself, it is time to get help.

It is not out of place to seek help so don’t suffer alone or in silence when someone or group of people can support you. It is recommended you share such traumatic pain with someone else to get over them faster.
